Somehow hometowns are better down on paper and never how you like to remember. Some towns get down and mixed up, not your job to fix up, when all you really need is a suitcase.
I've been dragged through Wishkah mud, I've been high on Mexican drugs, drove a car at 5 am, dodge the cops from old Hoquiam, cuz I loved you then, not so sure about us now.
Somehow hometowns get clearer out the rear view mirror, then and only then do you feel free. Some towns feel desert island lonely, it's best to get going, Aberdeen's a good place to come from.
